Luxury Beauty In 15 minutes: Top Tips For Busy Mornings

Products • 05/11/19

I think we can all agree that getting ready in the morning is the absolute worse. Most of us women are pretty accustomed to waking up two hours before we leave the house, because, you know, luxury beauty takes time. And yet, many of us still end up oversleeping and having rushing five-minutes before departure.

The Internet is full of various tips and hacks to make the routine less time consuming, more efficient and easier - but if you have ever tried these, chances are the results were the total opposite. Well, fret not. Being experts of luxury beauty, here at Kture we have compiled a list of tricks we swear by.

Dry Shampoo…With a kick

Let’s be honest - showering is the morning ritual that sends most of the time down the drain (pun intended). While it can be very much anticipated, especially on the cold autumn/winter mornings, there are many complications to follow. No matter how good your luxury shampoos and conditioners are, they won’t make the process of combing and drying any shorter, especially if you’ve got long luscious locks. And, we all know how messy and tired hair looks if not washed properly.

However, there is a  solution to this dilemma. Dry shampoos by luxury brands such as Oribe and R+CO have been around for ages and are a fantastic addition to your beauty collection. Not only do they keep your hair clean without getting it wet, but also add some extra volume, something you cannot complain about. And now, here comes our top luxury beauty hack: baby oil. Mix a dose of it after using a dry shampoo, adding a fantastic shine and gleam to your hair - don’t go overboard though, or it may appear oily instead.

No more redness

We all know the horror that comes when waking up with a big raging spot on your face. And how long it takes to cover it up with the trustworthy concealer+foundation combo. While this certainly does help to an extent, it actually makes the long-term situation much worse. The chemicals used in this make-up seeps into the pores and only fuels the growth of the zit you’re trying to cover up. But don’t worry, we’ve got a less harming solution to offer. Instead of trying to cover it up completely, soothe the pimple. This will reduce the redness and not irritate your skin further. Best solution - Tata Harper production, filled with magnesium to aid the inflammation. You’re welcome.

Quick eyeliner fix

Eyeliner is by far the trickiest make-up element, no matter how experienced you are. If your hand shakes for but a moment you lose that surgeon-like precision… It’s all in vain. Don’t feel bad if you never successfully get your wings on point - barely anyone ever does. While Kevyn Aucoin precision eye definer and the likes sure make it easier, eyeliner errors are the most frequent luxury beauty disasters. The worst is that removing liner mistakes is a dreadful task and can barely be performed without causing a smudge, which itself is close to impossible to get rid of… A recipe for a disaster and foul mood for the early morning, if you ask us. To save yourself from either attempting to fix the liner or redoing the entire make-up altogether, we present you with the ultimate trick - earbuds. Dip the earbud in a tiny amount of a make-up remover and eliminate any eyeliner errors within seconds and smudge-free.

Smooth legs in seconds

Waxing is painful and shaving takes time. Yet, smooth legs are an attribute we want and love, despite the dreadful amount of effort in attempts to acquire it. Shaving is the way we propose - and before you freak out at the thought of speeding up the process involving a razor held to your skin, we must say it’s not as scary as it sounds. To avoid persistent razor bites and difficulties assessing whether you’ve got everything through thick layers of shaving gel foam, we recommend you use hair conditioner. Smooth legs are an epitome of luxury beauty, it’s about time we found the most efficient way of getting them effortlessly.

A lipstick that lasts

We all know the pain of the lipstick we’ve spent 20 minutes applying being fully transferred to the brim of a coffee mug the second they touch. Even the long-lasting Nars lipsticks are not immune to the unknown forces that seem to wipe the flawless layers of colours off our mouths. To deepen the wound, it only seems to happen when we finally nail the application - any lipstick mistake is there to stay, no matter how hard you try removing it. However, the latter is how we got an idea of how to secure the colour. Most of us apply the lipstick last, when our faces are already covered in layers of different make-up. It’s a common knowledge that the foundation needs a primer underneath to make sure it stays - and it seems to keep the lipstick in place too, thus it’s difficult to remove in the scenario of an accident. So, this is where we realised, tested and adopted the habit of priming our lips prior to applying lipstick. Don’t overdo it though - concealer is not the most nutritious breakfast.

Put the moisturiser down

Despite every media outlet and luxury beauty blogger telling us to spread a moisturising lotion over our bodies daily… We disagree. Moisturisers may help the skin to appear moist and flawless, but most of us are very guilty of overusing it. Such dependence originates from how dry and greasy it appears if not nourished - not a pretty sight, right? However, this is very much signalling an overuse of a moisturiser. The best luxury beauty practice to prevent it is to use it sparingly throughout the day. For example, put some Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream on before bed and let it sink it. Resist the urge of repeating the process in the morning - instead, add a tiny bit of it throughout the day, and only if your skin begins getting dry and tight. Congrats, your morning rut had just gotten at least 15 minutes shorter.

The Ultimate Solution

Sometimes, we overestimate how much production we have left up until we have fully run out.  If you rely on high-end make-up production, your local makeup store isn’t likely to have them - nor will it be open at stupidly early hours anyway. If leaving the house as natural isn’t a solution either, we’ve got a one-for-all product you could have never guessed to be as useful as it is. And, most likely, you already have it in your cupboard. The star of the show is…Vaseline. While we have all been made aware of its moisturising and plumping effects on our lips, there is much more it can do. Did you know Vaseline has a cooling agent that reduces inflammation within, therefore being perfect for tackling angry red spots? It will be your go-to even if you run out of mascara - a dash of vaseline on your lashes will elevate them and give them an extra sparkle.

Luxury beauty, much like high-end fashion, works best when it's effortless and convenient. Have you got any beauty hacks you rely on? If yes, we would love to hear about them!
