Wimbledon. "New balls please"... More like new shoes.
Wimbledon is upon us, and that means a handful of things; A host of European players descend on south west London for the infamous grass court tournament in the beautiful surroundings of Wimbledon.
We pretend to know what going on yet there is simply too many foreign sounding names and the tournament is too short to take stock. That being said the well heeled British turn their attention to more important things such as where is the nearest champagne tent, how many strawberries can one consume and is the corporate hospitality up to par this year. Wimbledon carries a sophisticated charm due to the nature of the sport itself. And as such we always ponder as to what the right look is, when watching tennis.
Over the years we have seen the likes of the Beckhams, Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk cut stunning looks ranging from sharp elegance to the casual demure look, akin to a tennis coach. Needless to say we feel there is a balance, of elegance, comfort and grace required. There is an argument made for flats versus heels due to the walking element associated with large scale sporting events, however if you find yourself being chauffeured to the event then there is no hassle. As such, lightweight fabrics for coolness and movement alongside some neutral and taupe hues will set off an understated chic style conscious display. Here is one look we will be found in... lets hope it steers you in the right direction.
